Pukpip was ready to launch in the UK, but with only a product being manufactured in Ecuador and nothing else set up, they needed help to make sure their plans were viable.
Prepping for the UK launch
Pukpip needed to be in a position where they could successfully bring retail-ready products into the UK.
Leaning in to YF’s expertise in navigating regulatory requirements, setting up supply chain operations and securing the necessary infrastructure to support smooth entry into the UK, the preparation began.

Mini ramp-up
With only one manufacturer at the time, Pukpip needed support to scale. YF set up detailed product specifications and Quality Assurance Standards (QAS) for the manufacturing process to ensure everything was compliant and ready for large-scale production.
A full logistics network
Setting up the process for importing the product into the UK was complex due to the ingredients – chocolate (classified as a product of animal origin) and bananas. Navigating the relevant customs and import requirements for both ingredients was a critical part of the project, requiring detailed research and coordination to ensure a smooth import process.
One complete solution
By the time of launch, YF had helped Pupkip by providing an end-to-end solution, from technical specifications to a reliable supply chain.
The outcome
In the 3 years of working with YF, Pukpip has achieved several significant milestones. They secured their first retailer listing with Ocado, began selling products to a customer in the Middle East, and successfully launched three new products.
YF’s guidance and expertise have played a crucial role in helping Pukpip expand and reach these key business goals.
“Working with YF was transformational for our UK launch – they took us from having just a manufacturer in Ecuador to a complete, retail-ready operation. Their expertise in navigating complex regulatory requirements and setting up our entire supply chain was invaluable, enabling us to secure our first Ocado listing and expand internationally.”
